Virtual tribute to Shahid Minar with flowers!
On this International Mother Language Day, language lovers can pay their respects to the martyrs by sending flowers from anywhere in the world. For this reason, 'Amar Ekushey' app has been created. The app can be downloaded from the evening of February 20 and tributes can be paid throughout the day starting from the early hours of February 21. The app can be downloaded from this link apart from Play Store.
The Amar Ekushey app was inaugurated on Monday (February 19) at the Nasrul Hamid Auditorium of Dhaka Reporters Unity. Executive Director Shahina Rahman dedicated the app to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in a press conference organized by Smart Nari Smart Bangladesh Foundation.
In a written speech at the press conference, Shahina Rahman said that after the successful implementation of Digital Bangladesh under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, this app has been created to participate as an active participant in the progress of building Smart Bangladesh and make an effective contribution. With the aim of bringing the benefits of smart Bangladesh to the doorsteps of the people with their own funding, under the digital service development program, Amar Ekushey, an Android app for placing wreaths at Shaheed Minar through mobile phones on the occasion of International Mother Language Day and Great Martyr's Day, has been developed.
She said that through this app, Bengali speakers living abroad including 180 million people from all over Bangladesh and people interested in paying tribute at Shaheed Minar on the occasion of International Mother Language Day can pay respect to the martyrs of Amar Ekushey from their respective locations.
Dhaka South City Corporation Ward Councilor No. 26 Hasibur Rahman Manik and others were also present at this time.
